Emery Arps House

Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Built in the high desert on a steep mountainside above the Colorado River, this compact, vertically organized house has three floor levels that overlook distant views while taking advantage of the south sun to provide warmth and light. An open winding staircase is the focus of the interior.
